Nina Milligan

Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)

[email protected]

Nina Milligan, CFP® is an Associate Investment Advisor at Zenith Wealth Partners, where she partners with institutional clients, nonprofits, and foundations to align their capital with their values. She is deeply committed to eradicating the racial wealth gap and works closely with organizations that invest in and uplift their communities.

Prior to joining Zenith, Nina served as an equity trader at Edward Jones, supporting clients in reaching their financial goals through portfolio construction, trade execution, operations, and compliance. During her tenure, she actively advocated for increasing the representation of Black clients and Black professionals within the firm. Recognizing the lack of representation and accessible resources for the Black community in the financial services industry, Nina was driven to focus her career on working with institutions that leverage capital as a tool for equity and systemic change.

Nina is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional dedicated to making financial literacy accessible across generations. As co-founder of the Princess of Finance series, she brings extensive experience in financial planning and education to develop resources that empower families to have confident, informed conversations about money. Her commitment to expanding financial education in underserved communities fuels her passion for closing the financial literacy gap—beginning with the youngest learners.

Michael Milligan is a Professor of Finance at California State University, Fullerton, where he has been shaping future financial leaders for two decades. In addition to his teaching, he serves as an Academic State Senator for the California State University system, contributing to the educational direction of one of the nation’s largest public university systems.

Professor Milligan’s academic career is complemented by over 20 years of experience on Wall Street, where he worked at top-tier firms and gained deep, practical expertise in financial markets. A trailblazer in the investment world, he was the second African American to found and run a hedge fund and also leased a seat on the Pacific Stock Exchange.

He founded and served as the Director of the Applied Security Analysis Program (now Titan Capital Management) at CSU Fullerton, providing students with hands-on investment management experience. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BA in Public Accounting from Hofstra University. This series was born from a desire to make the financial principles he has taught for decades accessible to a younger generation, a mission he proudly shares with his daughter, Nina.
